  The tenth release candidate of the 27.1 series: 27.1-rc.9 with clearer wording for two settings. Nothing in the server's behavior changes.

  Settings

  • Additional Hostnames is now Certificate Hostnames, and says what it does. A list there replaces the default names instead of adding to them, so the certificate covers the domain itself only if you list it. The description now says what an empty list gets: the wildcard and the domain with a DNS challenge, otherwise the standard service names under the domain. It also says how a name is read: one without a dot gets the domain added, one with a dot is used as written. The property and saved configs are unchanged. (#291, #299)
  • Allow Directory Queries says what it does to sharing. Since 27.1-rc.8 the setting also decides who a regular user can look up and share with. With it off, the default, that's only accounts they already have a connection to. The description and the generated reference page now say so. (#301)

  Reporting security issues

  You can now report a vulnerability privately through Report a vulnerability on the GitHub copy's Security tab, as well as by email. SECURITY.md has both. (#300)

  Before you upgrade

  Nothing to do. Run this with inbuxa-admin 27.1-rc.6, whose certificates guide keeps a domain's own Certificate Hostnames, and inbuxa-webmail 27.1-rc.3.

  Everything in 27.1-rc.9 is here too. inbuxa Relay ships from this tag as registry.coffeylabs.org/inbuxa/inbuxa-relay:27.1-rc.10 and as static binaries with .sig files; run it with the server release of the same version.

  Container image: registry.coffeylabs.org/inbuxa/inbuxa-server:27.1-rc.10, also tagged :27.1-rc. :latest stays on 2026.x until 27.1 ships.
